HoopoeLab is an independent research project dedicated to the study of the Qur'an, Islamic thought, and religious concepts through textual, linguistic, and logical analysis.
We are not a religious organization, movement, or community. The project has no membership and does not seek to build any organizational structure around itself.
Our Mission
The primary goal of HoopoeLab is to provide a space for thoughtful reading and analysis of Islamic sources, with particular emphasis on the Qur'an, using reason, context, and the internal coherence of the text.
We believe it is important to distinguish between:

Methodology
Our work is based on a textual and analytical approach.
When studying the Qur'an, we take into account:

The Islamic intellectual tradition encompasses numerous schools, methodologies, and historical interpretations.
We regard them as an important part of the intellectual history of Islamic thought.
At the same time, we distinguish between:

These two levels are not always identical and can be examined independently.
